Once approved for sale, MosaiQ™ will be the first fully automated solution for blood grouping, quickly and comprehensively characterizing both donor and patient blood, improving patient outcomes and eliminating the need for expensive and time-consuming manual testing. MosaiQ™ will also undertake all mandated serological disease screening tests required for donor blood. Quotient has over 30 years of experience developing, manufacturing and commercializing transfusion diagnostic products. The company’s operations are based in Switzerland, Scotland and the US. We are now recruiting for our next: Quality Control Analyst (Serology).

Job Description

• Perform routine Quality Control testing of incoming material, intermediate and final product manufactured at Quotient. Evaluate Immuno-Haematology performances of these products


• Analyse and record data in batch manufacturing records and other relevant documentation to provide a permanent and precise record of all work carried out to ensure regulatory compliance


• Assist in the organisation of routine work within the department


• Review and update procedures and test results to ensure compliance


• Maintain the stability schedule. Test and review Quotient products currently undergoing stability assessment


• Monitor the safe operation control and maintenance of equipment in accordance with established procedures to minimise delays to work programmes and ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent degree in Biochemistry, biology


• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in QC laboratory (pharmaceutical, medical device or medical laboratory) and GDP and GMP experience


• Experience in blood group serology is essential


• Experience in specificity tests for antibodies and red cells phenotyping using conventional tube methods and CAT system is preferred


• Must be a team player and a good communicator


• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills


• Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment requiring high flexibility


• Good spoken and written English and French, although French is not essential
