We are currently looking for a Senior Medical Affairs Manager, Cardiology who will be based in Glattbrugg. In this function you will support the Global Medical Lead, Cardiology in the development and implementation of the medical affairs strategy for the diagnosis and treatment of iron deficiency in the field of heart failure. Furthermore, you will support the development of medical material for internal and external education and communication and will be responsible for the review of promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy. Your additional accountabilities will be the following:

• In collaboration with the Global Medical Lead Cardiology, conceive, organize and manage Medical Advisory Boards and working groups 
  


• Support Marketing in the development and maintenance of promotional materials representing the company and products in cardiology
  


• Development and execution of Global Therapeutic Area Publication Plan 
  


• Contribute to the development and maintenance of scientific interactions with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the field of cardiology 
  


• Manage interactions with advocacy groups and medical societies in the field of cardiology Create scientific documents and materials for communication and education purposes
  


• Manage the budget for all activities supporting the function

For this role, we are looking for a candidate with scientific excellence  who demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills. With outstanding analytical and organizational skills and the ability to accurately evaluate medical scientific literature, you prove to bring sound medical affairs skills. Furthermore, you should have the following competencies:

• Scientific (Ph.D., Pharm. D.) or medical education (M.D.)
  


• Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Affairs, and/or Clinical Development at affiliate or HQ level
  


• Experience with clinical study management and conduct as well as with health care industry compliance regulations
  


• Medical experience in the therapeutic area of cardiology
  


• Proven relationship building skills with internal and external audiences
  


• Fluent level in English, both in oral and in written communications


• Knowledge of commercialization and business practices as well as finance and budgeting experience
  


• Knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Drug Safety
