We are looking to hire a Corporate IT Product Development & Innovation Specialist (m/f) as a key member of the Product Development & Innovation department of the Corporate Customer & Forwarding IT Products. This person introduces innovative, technologically-driven ideas to both internal, operations-facing and external, customer-facing applications.



These ideas will be created, tested and deployed as part of the development of myPanalpina2020 and the Zurich Lab.



The role shall manage Panalpina’s IT innovation initiatives:



* plan innovation lifecycle



* assess new technologies and practices which may increase Panalpina’s productivity, improve Panalpina’s relationship with its customers or drive new lines of business



* develop prototypes and run pilot programs



* productize the successful innovation outcomes




Responsibilities



* Lead innovation projects



* Create business cases/solution concepts in cooperation with the concerned business functions and workgroups to ensure it can be translated into tangible business value for Panalpina



* Drive research & development based on innovation with the most advanced technology and concept such as robotic, big data, deep learning etc.



* Solicit market feedback and competitor intelligence, leverage benchmarking data and industry research to identify insights, strategic and innovation opportunities



* Explore, assess and recommend new advanced technologies against current processes and technologies, which provide high business value to Panalpina



* Identify and build relationships with third party Research & Development institutes, technology partners and Supply Chain organizations



* Communicate the innovation initiatives



* Test and refine ideas within Panalpina in live environments to elicit feedback and refine them.



* Be accountable for the delivery of innovation projects.




Qualifications



* Master degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or similar



* Proven experience in IT business, consulting, research projects and project management.
