Against this background, you get involved in our business area Enterprise Security Services – one of the strategic areas of growth at DXC. With our Security Advisory Team we support our customers from the analysis of business processes, to the design and implementation of innovative end-to-end solutions up to the support and further development of existing security solutions.
The IES Consultant will be required to work on the infrastructure and endpoint component architecture and design of major projects for clients, as well as partner within the wider IES practice to support implementation. We are seeking an innovative and motivated consultant who under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to perform the necessary architecture, analysis and design tasks related to the development enterprise infrastructure, can understand use cases and benefits/drawbacks of specific security solutions from our extensive network of vendor/partners to meet the customer’s requirement. The IES Consultant will be required to work on multiple client accounts and must have the ability to develop and present secure solutions to leadership and technical teams. In addition, the consultant will be required to lead and assess risks imposed by technical solutions and advise clients of security standards, best practice and solutions relating to IES solutions.
Key Responsibilities • Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. • Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed based on understanding our customer’s business and their business needs. • As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. • Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. • Actively shape DXC Security’s solutions portfolio in the IES area by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. • Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organisation and for external customers. • Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. • Contribute to organisation’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development. • Provides mentoring and guidance to employees at lower job levels. • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organisation to external clients.
Qualifications/Skills • Master's or advanced degree in related field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Services, Engineering, etc) is preferred, although Bachelor’s supported by extensive related field or equivalent work experience will be considered. • 7+ years of professional experience in enabling installations and configurations products included in the DXC Security portfolio • Sometimes directs and supervises within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function. • Has demonstrated ability to coach others in the gathering of requirements, designs, plans and estimates • Demonstrates strong networking skills with experience of configuring complex environments and managing complex integration efforts. • Able to communicate with internal and external senior management confidently and demonstrate professionalism • Ability to adapt a consulting style appropriate to the situation and can identify up-sell opportunities • Ability to demonstrate a broad understanding of market dynamics, an industry area, commercial issues, and technical concerns whilst maintaining depth in IES focus area • Fluency in the local language in addition to English • Driver’s license • Willingness and flexibility to travel (annual average 30%) • Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues, and is regarded by others within DXC Security as a subject matter expert. • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas/methods. • Usually works on complex problems or projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in depth evaluation of multiple factors. • Regularly exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross functional initiatives. • Required Technology Implementation Experience within the below (experience within a minimum of 2 and below required): o Check Point o Blue Coat o Fortinet o FireEye o Symantec o McAfee Endpoint Protection o Tanium o Carbon Black Professional certifications • CISSP, CISA, CISM • Other certifications related to IES including vendor technical certifications
