Software Requirement Engineer


Responsibilities



  • Identify stakeholders and sources of requirements together with project managers

  • Elicit needs, goals, desires and requirements using interview, document analysis, requirements workshops and gather requirements

  • Decompose high-level business and user requirements into system and functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level for use

  • Deliver requirements and associated verification / validation, including, demonstrate understanding of requirements in relevant areas to provide insights into the context and rationale of the requirements;

  • Ensure that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensive, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable

  • Collaborate with software developers

  • Manage software requirements via requirements management tools

  • Establish and implement effective requirements practices, including use and continuous improvement of requirements processes;

  • Support the development of the company’s requirements, procedures, and tools;

  • Work in according to software development process


Requirements



  • MSc or Dipl.-Ing. electrical/mechanical/automation engineering, or equivalent

  • Proven experience (preferably 3-5 years) in

    • requirements engineering

    • requirements management tool

    • system engineering principles and practices

    • complex automation and control systems


  • Comprehension of mechanical, hydraulic and thermodynamic systems

  • Able to work across the R&D organization

  • Good analytic approach and problem solving oriented

  • Good communication and people interaction skills, including presentation, group discussions and teamwork

  • Ready to travel for widening products knowledge, get in contact with product users/customers

  • Able to work in multicultural environment

  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
