Role Summary:

GE Power is on journey of a multi-year ERP program to get 3 of the largest business units – Power Services, Gas Power Systems and Steam Power Systems onto a single SAP ERP platform. The resulting ERP platform will be the largest in GE and will host approximately 40% of overall GE revenue with over 40,000 users. SAP is deployed in various locations with an aggressive roadmap to scale globally.




Essential Responsibilities:


The VP – Digital Enterprise Strategy will provide vision and thought leadership for driving the longer-term enterprise strategy for GE Power based on company and business changes (M&A, restructuring …) to enable significant synergies across the P&L’s, regions, and functions. The ideal candidate will align with the mission of the business & define priorities to drive business transformation through the strategic programs.


In this role, you will:



  • Manage a portfolio of Productivity, Strategic, M&A, and Re-structuring programs and develop plans to accomplish the most optimal execution plan based on business priorities, resource allocation and schedule.

  • Develop and drive a long-term strategy for GE Power’s enterprise systems and architecture base to enable the targeted business models, across business units, global functions and regions.

  • Partner with the GE Power Separation Management Office to provide guidance on the most optimal execution plan for M&A activities considering factors such as schedule, capital allocation, business dependencies, legal and financial structures, etc.

  • Collaborate with business and functional partners and technology leadership to define strategic and tactical roadmap of DT initiatives

  • Partner with the functional and horizontal IT leads to develop the overall integrated business plan that is aimed at driving business outcomes. Collaborate with the Enterprise Solutions COE leadership to align the plan with the larger ERP roadmap

  • Partner with the functional and horizontal IT leadership to develop the longer-term strategy for the pillar applications around commercial, supply chain, engineering/configuration management and services. Collaborate with the P&L IT and COE teams to identify the convergence of the strategic pillar platforms with the overall strategic ERP roadmap.

  • Manage executive stakeholder communication and progress reporting at all levels of the Power business

  • Guide project teams through decision and pivot points as required

  • Program and Project management responsibilities, including client communication, schedule and cost management/tracking, prioritization, and presentation of deliverables

  • Outline multi-generational project strategy aligned to deliver on the expected outcomes

  • Manage executive stakeholder communication and progress reporting

  • Positively & collaboratively lead the team through change

  • Perform initial and final financial reviews, and ensure ongoing budget tracking

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering or 4 years of IT technical experience

  • Minimum 15 years of IT professional experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.

  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in Software Development Project Management including large portfolio and financial management leading cross functional initiatives and organizations

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Atlanta, GA, or Baden, Switzerland

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Years of expertise in driving large scale programs

  • Demonstrated ability of working with executive-level stakeholders to develop strategy find, lead, and implement process and tools strategy to drive process improvement changes.

  • Proven leadership experience managing large global teams across multiple functional disciplines.

  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, champions and drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly

  • Track record of driving DT innovation and technology-driven business outcomes

  • Experience managing budgets including annual budgets and large-scale projects
