Group Data Protection Officer


 


Mobility is the goal



  • Preparation of proposals for Schindler’s approach to ensure compliance with data protection legislation

  • Establishment and maintenance of general policies, tools and templates regarding data protection

  • Overall coordination of data protection activities within Schindler, including the coordination of processing activities across different regions and countries

  • Advising headquarter functions on data protection matters, including data protection impact assessments, using a risk-based approach

  • Acting as point of contact and responding to data subject requests related to headquarter functions

  • Cooperate with supervisory authorities and acting as point of contact for them for matters relating to headquarter functions

  • Manage data protection aspects of data breaches relating to headquarter functions or with a group-wide impact

  • Organizing trainings of local data protection managers and of key users in headquarter functions

  • Reporting to Group General Counsel and other relevant group bodies and committees

 

Mobility needs you



  • University degree in law; qualified as lawyer

  • Significant work experience (at least 5 years) in Swiss or German or EU data protection laws, working in a reputable law firm, business consultancy or in an international group of companies

  • Experience in setting-up and managing data protection programs, including coordination of privacy teams, establishing internal policies and processes and dealing with supervisory authorities

  • Experience in organizing data protection audits, managing data incidents and breaches

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity risks and information security standards and frameworks

  • Very good command of written and spoken English and German

  • Strong team player and proven ability to lead and manage a cross-functional team

  • Excellent communication skills capable of dealing with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including senior management

  • High commitment and self-motivation with unquestioned integrity
