Sr Reimbursement Analyst - Diabetes

The purpose of the role is to support, develop and execute the Reimbursement and Health Economic strategies to secure reimbursement and funding for designated therapies and to support establishment of these therapies as Standard of Care within key markets for the Medtronic Diabetes Business Unit in EMEA region.


 

 

A Day in the Life


 


The individual carries out his/her responsibilities within the framework of contribution to multi-disciplinary teams including outcomes research, clinical research and marketing staff to support product development, marketing, patient access acceleration, reimbursement and formulary acceptance.


-         Deliver relevant data and tools to meet country HTA/reimbursement/funding and access needs within region:



  • Identify and pursue opportunities to obtain reimbursement and provide support in HTAs and funding submissions with particular focus to the designated countries

  • Execute health economic projects pre and post launch - including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and cost-of-illness analyses to support market access strategies

  • Develop product value stories and influence the regional and global clinical trial program to fill clinical data gaps

  • Analyze and communicate the relevant evidence effectively to target audiences within the region including publication of research findings

  • Develop and deliver focused regional masterfiles/value dossier for effective and timely use in countries

  • Support local countries with selected reimbursement /funding/ HTA submissions

  • In effective collaboration with regional, country & business unit partners, understand reimbursement/funding gaps/needs, and drive initiatives to deliver economic value of diabetes technologies


-         Provide internal and external training on key market access issues:



  • Provide therapy specific and general reimbursement/HE education and training to key internal and external audiences within region

  • Contribute as member of the Western European Reimbursement community, ensuring efficient use of data/tools and knowledge across the Western European Reimbursement community


-         Ensure quality in delivery and execution


-         Expected travel, mainly within European countries, 30% of regular working time


Must Have: Minimum Requirements


 


-         Postgraduate degree in Economics, Health Economics or Life Science


-         Min 5 years’ experience in Reimbursement, Health economics, HTA and funding applications in a healthcare environment at a medical device or pharmaceutical or biotechnology or a specialist R&HE consulting company.


-         Track record of developing and delivering reimbursement/market access strategy


-         Experience with strategic value story development


-         Good understanding of the application, development and value of health economic modelling


-         Experience in conducting outcomes research project


-         Fluent in English


-         Strong knowledge and hands on application of regional masterfile development


-         Good knowledge of Reimbursement systems (major Europe)


-         Good knowledge of the application, development and critical assessment of health economic models


-         Strategic thinking, relationships building capacities, excellent oral and written communications,ability to work across cultures, strong project management skills, effective communication, results orientation, quality orientation.


 


Nice to Have


 


-         Experience in Diabetes


-         Multiple languages and any other language is a strong asset.
