Position Purpose & Summary



Senior Sales and Deal Origination for Metals Derivatives in the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) Region for Cargill Risk Management. 


 


 


Principal Accountabilities


 


30% Identify, proactive call, initiate, onboard and develop new metal tailored derivatives sales profitable customer relationships.


 


30% Interface, quote, produce, propose  and execute directly sales of OTC tailored hedging solutions for base, ferrous and precious metals, using OTC exotics, options and swaps for customers looking to mitigate commodity price risk and price strategically. 


 


10% Cross – sell / connect customers and prospects with other tailored hedging solutions divisions of CRM and Cargill. Examples of Ags, FX, Energy, Resins, Trade Structured Finance, others.



 


10% Effectively communicate Cargill Risk Management’s value proposition and distinctive approach across multiple levels within customer’s organization for tailored hedging solutions in metals.  Industry segments include Mining, Smelters, Trading Companies, Manufacturing, Recycling, other.


 


10% Seek to learn and understand customer business and hedging objectives first, and then present a portfolio of tailored solutions in a portfolio that balances diminishing pricing risk and maximizing return and cost efficiency.


 


10% Coordinate with credit, compliance, trading, operations, CRM Sr Mgmt as assigned for pre and post-sale relationship management in many areas like, margining, settlements, stress testing, position management, financial and credit reviews, etc. 


Qualifications

 

Required qualifications:


 



  • BA/BS in business administration, finance, marketing, economics, engineering or similar fields.

  • Knowledge of metals derivative market players and economics of different metals sub-industries like Miners, Traders, Smelters, Parts Manufacturing, Consumers, Recyclers.

  • Network of relationships of prospective tailored metals hedging solutions customers.

  • Team player and customer oriented.

  • 10+ years of customer-facing sales experience in the hedging industry including building a portfolio of derivative sales customer relationships and managing large corporate hedging relationships.

  • Experience in building metals OTC Tailored Hedging Solutions with exotics, averaging, options, swaps and commodity markets.

  • Working knowledge of commodity markets and ability to understand the financial implications of market movements.

  • Ability to travel frequently, mostly within the EMEA region. 


 


Preferred qualifications:


 



  • MBA/master’s degree.

  • International metals OTC swaps and futures market experience.

  • Additional languages besides English.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Proven sales training, sales planning, market segmentation and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Eikon & ICE Chats and metals trading platforms.

  • Strong math, problem solving and attention to detail.
