JAVA / KAFKA  - CONTRACT 6+ MONTHS

We support our partner Eqip / IT-Suppliers in sourcing one of their contracting requirements for a Financial Service customer in Zurich.

TECHNICAL LEAD FOR ENTERPSIE DATA BUS

YOUR CHALLENGE  

• Define / collect non-functional and operational requirements


• Design and build the technical foundation for the EDB in close collaboration with Application and Domain Architecture


• Define and implement the first version of the platform infrastructure (based on Apache Kafka tools / ecosystem)


• Define and implement the first version of basic platform capabilities such as cluster management, topic management, developer support - defining and providing APIs for developers etc.


• Technical Lead and

YOUR PROFILE  

• Must have, strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and operations. 


• Must have, experience in building data integration solutions and understanding of event-based patterns and messaging/streaming.


• Must have, understanding of the Kafka architecture, fault-tolerance, and scalability.


• Must have, proven experience in building, deploying, and using clustered Kafka environments.


• Should have, hands-on production experience in Kafka and proven experience of designing, building, and deploying production-level data pipelines.


• Should have, strong programming skills in Java backend development and passion for writing high quality software, including test automation (unit/integration).


• Should have, strong familiarity of wire formats such as JSON, Avro, CSV, etc.


• Nice to have, experience with Azure, CI/CD.


• At least 5 years project experience in agile software development


• At least 3 years experience as technical lead


• Fluent in English
