Ihre Rolle

• Creation and optimization of the detailed end-to-end production plans for the Zofingen plant, covering a horizon of -36 months from long-term volume planning down to tactical scheduling and MRP planning


• Proactive and early identification of conflicts in the production plan (e.g., equipment overloads), development, assessment and implementation of mitigation measures. Escalation of required decisions as needed


• Continuous monitoring of production plan execution, including frequent alignment with production and sales and adjustment of production plans as needed


• Management and optimization of inventory levels


• Ad-hoc development and assessment of planning scenarios required for decision making


• Orchestration of seamless communication with adjacent functions such as sales and business development, technical operations, project management, quality control, procurement, shipping


• Preparation and lead of monthly site S&OP meetings


• Preparation of quaterly global S&OP meetings


• Proactive development and implementation of measures to continuously improve the production planning process (optimization of processes, data, systems)


• Contribution to strategic development of the Zofingen site (e.g., identification of future bottlenecks and development of options to adress them)


• Coordination and troubleshooting of planning related queries and issues across the drug substance network


• Management of relevant master data in SAP OMP

Ihr Profil

• MSc or PhD degree in a numerical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent


• 10+ years of experience in production planning including long-term volume planning and tactical scheduling as well as inventory management


• Minimum 5 years of experience on a chemical or pharmaceutical production site, preferably in the CDMO industry


• Excellent analytical and numerical skills


• Creativity and strategic  thinking, ability to think in scenarios and options


• Ability and willingness to go beyond the obvious and push boundaries to find optimal planning solutions in constraint environments


• Strong track record with the production planning software OMP, including the underlying programming language OPAL as well as common optimization algorithms and solver techniques


• Deep SAP expertise in process industries, ideally including S/4 Hana


• Strong knowledge of material flows and supply chain business processes


• Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels (shop floor to senior management)


• Leadership skills, experience in leading and developing teams


• Strong presence, influencing and negotiation skills


• Fluent in German and English. Additional language skills such as French or Spanish are a plus


• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment


• Can-do attitude, eagerness to solve complex problems


• Comfortable working in cross-functional settings including departments such as business development and sales, technical operations, project management, procurement, shipping


• Good command of MS Office Suite


• CPIM or equivalent certificate a plus


• Good understanding of cGMP Practices
