We are seeking Community Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the Health Platform’s day to day operations, initiatives and communities, events, and knowledge assets. The team is located across multiple offices with strong connective tissue to the Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.


Reporting lines & interactions


The Coordinator role reports to the Head of the Health & Healthcare Platform. This role will collaborate with a broad set of teams across the organization, especially Global Programming, Public Engagement, Business Engagement, and Thematic Platforms. The position is based in Geneva.


Breakdown of main responsibilities


Provide organizational support for events, workshops and communities: 



  • Support the team’s participation in events and workshops, including liaising with participants regarding registration and agendas, coordinating and communicating event logistics and budgets, greeting and handling high-level participants


  • Provide support for the maintenance of key communities on a wide range of topics and with senior leadership across a variety of institutions



Manage internal business processes:



  • Act as key point of contact for internal and external constituents related to marketing materials, event program materials, and publicly facing publications


  • Work with Marketing and Communications teams to update marketing materials and other publicly facing assets like transformation maps regularly


  • Serve as the team’s point of contact for the management of Forum-wide internal processes, communicating to the team changes to procedures and tools


  • Handle routine external inquiries, with a good understanding of the team’s breadth of work and POCs


  • Maintain internal databases, knowledge tools and team records, including onboarding processes for new team members (staff and Fellows)



Ensure the efficient operation of the team:



  • Plan and execute team meetings and internal briefing sessions


  • Provide general administrative support to the overall team


  • Maintain team calendar


  • Cultivate relationships with other Forum teams, such as Global Programming, Digital and Marketing, People & Culture, and others as needed



The successful candidate will be assessed on



  • Delivery of tasks and projects assigned and/or initiated to standards of excellence and against goals


  • Collaboration with Forum colleagues and external stakeholders 


  • Quality of materials development and maintenance and event support



Preferred Requirements and Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree


  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience in coordination and support in a demanding professional environment. No technical experience required.


  • Exceptional written communication skills (English)


  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with and manage expectations of senior executives and their staff with confidence


  • Excellent degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel). Salesforce/CRM experience strongly preferred.


  • Ability to thrive in a demanding environment and handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously


  • Responsible, independent and self-driven with a strong work ethic


  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, project and time management skills


  • Self-starting, independent thinker who thrives as a flexible team player


  • High level of attention to detail is critical


  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, health and healthcare industry and systems


  • Must have strong motivation and enthusiasm for the Forum’s mission


  • Knowledge of at least one foreign language is a plus
