Hospitality Services Specialist

The Hospitality Team coordinates all World Economic Forum events at its headquarters and around Geneva. The team is also responsible for maintaining a high standard of services (catering, building cleanliness, etc.) provided to Forum staff, collaborators, and visitors.
 
The Hospitality Specialist will provide support on daily tasks and projects, working with a strong team spirit to deliver events and maintain the high standard of services at our headquarters.

Breakdown of main responsibilities



  • 30% building check and internal coordination


  • 20% administrative tasks


  • 25% Major Events support and management


  • 25% Minor and medium events management



The successful candidate will be assessed on



  • Providing support for major events held at the World Economic Forum and in Switzerland: Managing catering requirements, rental equipment, insurance requirements and conference room set up, accommodation contract, rooming list


  • Organizing in-house minor events and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery with high level service


  • Being responsible for room and banquet set-up


  • Being the main point of contact for Forum-wide meeting room reservations (Condeco system)


  • Undertaking ad-hoc project work



Preferred Requirements and Experience



  • Bachelor’s degree in hotel management, hospitality, travel/tourism


  • High level of adaptability in a continually evolving international environment


  • 2 years’ experience in the event industry or a hotel, or as an independent


  • Fluent in English, French oral understanding, German is a plus


  • Fast thinker, organized, flexible, analytic and practical


  • Positive attitude and open-minded nature


  • Team player


  • Service oriented, with strong attention to details; discrete and rigorous
