With the project a new version of the LightCycler 480® is provided, the LightCycler 480® III.
The system consists of the following components:
LightCycler® 480 III Research software for PCR result analysis
LightCycler® 480 III Instrument for IVD and research mode
The role is assigned to RMD Software Development, located in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. It will be part of a team that includes hardware and software development, system development, operations and support functions.
We are looking for a talented Product Owner to join the LightCycler® 480 III project team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Accountable that partner delivers according to vision & values (provided by business)
Translate vision & values from the business side to the development partner.
Keep product backlog and its prioritization up-to-date.
Get endorsement for top program backlog items planned for the upcoming product increment
Own product/component roadmap and assign business value to the upcoming product increment
Partner with the development team to break down backlog into features with acceptance criteria.
Act as an interface between internal teams and external vendors.
Handling product requirements engineering in a regulated environment and ensure traceability to technical requirements provided by a development partner.
Demo and explain the product to an internal or external audience.
Supports Agile Project Management Approaches (Preparing features, facilitating Increment Planning, Visualizing work and dependencies, Risk management, etc.)
Handover of acceptance criteria to Roche Integration Testing and support defect investigation
Coach the peer Product Owner to understand and practice agility.
Works together with the SPL, UX expert, and Integration Architect for planning and tracking.
Drive and manage product change requests (PRQ)
Specifics for your mission as SW Product Owner In Instrument Software:
Interface to vendors, in-direct prioritization together with SPL
Have strong communication skills, act as an interface to internal teams and vendors.
Shows strong ownership and responsibility, shared with the SW SPL, of the instrument.
Connect different packages and be able to identify and address gaps accordingly.
Direct prioritization and ownership of the backlog of IC - therefore a more traditional PO role.
Involved in design-level decisions, close to the instrument, and works together with IC-layer.
Seamless integration of the instrument system with the IC/ instrument HW.
Instrument touch screen (more like cobas software)
Your team consists mostly of resources from an external vendor.
Some technical knowledge in order to verify the TRQs and their implementation. Teams may need support on the implementation of PRQs, therefore they need to be aligned with the vendor partner.
A minimum experience of 3 years as a Product Owner with experience.
Experience Design Sprints and Design Thinking.
Has worked for several organizations or projects – in minimum 3 different companies and working in programs with multiple (3+) Scrum teams in a single program.
University degree in any of the following areas IT, Engineering, or equivalent fields.
Expert knowledge of Scrum, Lean, and one or more Agile scaling models (like SAFe, LeSS)
Perfect skills in English spoken and written.
The following skills would be a plus:
German spoken and written.
Experience in highly regulated environments.
Experience working with remote teams.
Experience with internal Retina requirements tools.
Experience with team foundation server.
