Our practitioners work on a variety of projects to solve our Life Science & Health Care clients’ toughest data problems by combining industry experience, consulting and analytical skills; with deep understanding of technology and capabilities to create a lasting impact. Whether it is structuring, assuring, managing, developing or delivering technology solutions, we need the very best people to join us and strengthen our team even further. That is where you come in.


Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a Manager will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset but could include and may require you to:



  • Lead a team to deliver AI & data solution such as machine learning solutions, ETL, data warehouse, reporting solution, data virtualisation implementation or data migration project.

  • Manage either agile delivery or a large-scale waterfall implementation

  • Managing relationships with key client stakeholders

  • Taking responsibility for project budgets, status reporting and client deliverables

  • Providing Life Science and/ or healthcare specialist industry knowledge in the AI & data domain to our clients and furthering our offering in new and innovative technologies or applications of technologies

  • Lead content development for client bids and contribute to presentations of proposals

  • Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution


Location:


You will be based in a Deloitte Zurich office, however travel may be required for client based projects. Whilst some clients are Zurich / Basel based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully; there may be some opportunity for working from home depending on client and project demands.


Who we are looking for


We are looking for candidates with both technical and business focused skills and experience who can articulate the outcomes and value of their work.



  • Master or PhD from a top university strongly preferred, with a record of strong academic performance ideally in Life Science

  • At least 6 years of work experience as data scientist of which a minimum of 3 years in Life Science and/or Healthcare industry

  • Experience with patient related data or other Life Science and health care related data in Europe

  • Managing projects, work streams or teams and taking responsibility for team or project deliverables;

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams;

  • Competent use of Microsoft packages, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong written, communication and presentation skills

  • Fluency in English, good command in German and/or French, any other language is an asset


Candidates will hold work experience in some of the following areas and tools:



  • Life Science and/or Healthcare industry or client experience (ideally in the Swiss market)

  • AI & Data Program Delivery

  • AI & Data use case design & implementation

  • Machine Learning (e.g. Python)

  • Big Data Engineering

  • Data Strategy

  • Business Intelligence and Reporting and associated tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik)

  • Data Warehousing (Oracle)

  • Data Virtualisation

  • Automation

  • Business and Data Analysis

  • Data Platform Modernisation and associated tools e.g. Databricks

  • Data Integration (including ETL / ELT, and tools such as Informatica)

  • Cloud Analytics (Azure, GCP, AWS including RDS, S3, DMS, Glue)

  • Data Migration

  • Master Data Management
