Exclusive, live-in, English-speaking Nanny – 100% – Canton Zug

Lampentasche is a specialized nanny agency in Switzerland. For our client we are looking for a high-class nanny for their 11-year-old child. The place of work is directly located in a beautiful city near the lake called ‘Zugersee’. The family has an international background, so they like travelling back home during the holiday season however they also like the mountains and spend time in their chalet in Graubünden. The parents are both entrepreneurs with an incredible positive mind-set. The family offers the nanny an own apartment which is about 5 minutes away from their home. The starting date is ideally in mid/end of September 2021. A dog rounds off the family life.

Responsibilities:

• Sole-charge responsibility for the 11-year-old child who was diagnosed with a common chronic neurological disease when he was quite small on Monday to Friday for about 10 to 12 hours


• The tasks mainly include: accompanying him to school and assisting him there whenever needed in between classes or during classes; preparing and having lunch together; accompanying him to his therapies; creating a positive & stimulating environment in the afternoon with spending time outside, arranging playdates and repeating what was learned in school as well as preparing a healthy dinner


• Accompanying the family mainly during school holidays to Sweden and the UK and to the mountains during school holidays, weekends or possible future lock-downs


• Occasional work in the evenings and on the weekends


• The family is interested in a long-term working relationship

Requirements:

• Highly professional, reliable, responsible and loyal person with a lovely and cordial manner and at the same time being able to follow the instructions and being strict if needed


• Enormous amount of patience and perseverance as well as enabling consistency with routines


• A genuine positive attitude without any fear of the medical condition (the disease is very stable for years and in the beginning, you will get a very intense introduction with the parents being around until you feel comfortable)


• Sometimes you are the team leader and sometimes you are a team member


• Since there are so many musts in the life, it would be wonderful it you are also a little bit a child at heart and playful


• Experience in a similar position working with children in the age range of 8 years plus


• Very confident driver in all weathers with a valid driving license


• Fluent English skills (ideally native or almost native)

You will work in one of the most beautiful areas of Switzerland. The canton Zug is an extraordinary safe, clean and lovely part of the country. Within 30 minutes you reach Zurich or Zug can be reached even shorter by boat or car. You have a variety of leisure activities in front of the door: hiking, swimming in the lake, walking, biking, etc.
