Native Mobile App Developer (f/m/x)

What you can expect: 

Our marketplaces support users in their search for a home or vehicle and throughout the valuation process. With over 250,000 users per month, our iOS and Android apps are a key component of our offering. To further develop these apps, we are seeking an experienced developer to join our mobile team in the role of Native Mobile App Developer. 

As part of the Scrum team, you will be responsible for the conceptualisation, design, development, testing and review of Comparis apps. Drawing on your iOS experience, you will update our apps to meet the very latest standards, keep them innovative and collaborate with our team on their further development. As well as assisting with the further development of our Android apps, you will work with our web team to design REST APIs. Cooperating closely with product owners and product managers, you will help to define requirements and recommend new iOS-specific features. You are passionate about mobile technology, familiar with the world of apps, conversant with human interface guidelines and know what WWDC stands for.

Our tech stack in the mobile team:

• MacBook Pro (soon with M2 chips?) and a range of test devices


• Xcode with Swift for iOS


• Android Studio with Java and Kotlin for Android


• REST APIs in C# / .Net web API developed with our web team


• Vysor Pro


• Code on GitHub with Fork as git client


• CI/CD with GitHub Actions on your own Mac mini as self-hosted runner


• Firebase Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging and tracking


• Software development in Scrum using Jira


• Documentation in Confluence


• Slack and Google Workspace for collaboration
  
  

What you offer:

• Enthusiasm for mobile technology and the drive to tackle constantly evolving challenges


• Experience in native iOS development – ideally a few years’ experience as a mobile software developer and a degree in computer science


• Willingness to support the development of our Android apps – knowledge of Java and Kotlin for Android is a plus


• Understanding of human interface guidelines – you can advise the team on UX and design questions


• Interest in working in an agile Scrum team


• Very good level of English and a good level of German
