Order Manager (1 year fix-term contract) 


 


Job Tasks & Responsibilities:



  • Manages the Transport disposition and forwarder assignment within the BCC AG Sales and Distribution (SD) process

  • Responsible for planning and coordinating primary distribution for customers (external or internal)

  • Responsible for the order to invoice cycle, ensuring timely delivery of goods to customers in line with agreed metrics maintaining high customer satisfaction

  • Executes cross-border shipments; co-contributes if required to support customs related activities and provides all necessary documentation for trade/GDP purposes

  • Optimizes proactively freight forwarding activities and addresses in a timely manner any risks on service level adherence

  • Ensures timely and optimized shipments based on provided prioritization plan in alignment with Supply Management based on established transportation and supply chain processes

  • Acts in his position as expert for transportation and logistics in an independent service unit

  • Co-Contributes to set up new trade lanes, including preparation of Master Data, liaising with PRO for LSP selection, training of Suppliers, ensuring adherence to Bayer GxP requirements, etc.

  • Is able to represent GLEM in global projects; ie. System enhancements, drives OE Initiatives, measures performance of key processes and communicates them to the relevant Stakeholders within Global Supply Chain Organization

  • Acts as Key User and provides training to other Stakeholders within or outside the GLEM organization in areas such as but not limited to: SAP SD/TM3, Dangerous Goods/Substance Classification, Regulation & Systems, Export Warehouse/ Cross Docking Hubs


 


 


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s Degree (Diploma from 3rd Year of University – University in International Trade or Business or Languages or Economics) or Commercial degree (Diploma from 2nd Year of School specialized in International Trade or Logistics or Supply Chain)

  • Minimum 4 years of working experience in a foreign trade, import / export, transport environment

  • Knowledge of SAP R3 (SD / MM Module), TM/3 knowledge desirable

  • Proactive approach with good communication skills, team player, result oriented and keen on working in a cross cultural working environment

  • Understanding of legal, regulatory and GMP/GXP environment in FMCG distribution

  • Sound knowledge of Logistics/foreign trade

  • Knowledge in Automation

  • Sufficient theoretical and practical background in transport planning, and general understanding of forecasting

  • Excellent degree of customer focus

  • Proactive approach, action oriented with the ability to solve problems and set priorities

  • Ability to drive projects, including cross functional alignment

  • Ability to use SAP, Microsoft Office and other software packages

  • Project Management or OE background preferred

  • Fluent in English is a must (German is an asset)
