Laboratory Technician (m/f)

As part of our Textile Effects division, we are looking for a Laboratory Technician who will join our Dyes Technology Group. This is a full-time position based in Basel.

As Laboratory Technician you will:

• Perform testing and application of new dyes for polyester


• Develop new testing methods for dyes


• Write up and file regular reports on test results


• Communicate and discuss results with the team


• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and application equipment


• Ensure total quality management within the laboratories


• Fully comply with health, safety, and environmental guidelines in accordance  with  site and company standards

Requirements:

• Qualification: University or Institute of Technology degree in textiles, chemistry, or chemical engineering. Apprenticeship as laboratory technician will be considered

• Experience in screening and dye application would be an asset


• Conscientious, efficient, enthusiastic


• Team player with good organisation, communication, and presentation skills


• Autonomous with can-do attitude


• Good command of either English or German language. French, though not essential, would be an advantage


• IT literate (primarily Microsoft Word and Excel)
