  • Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) and Corporate IT Business Partnering – Lead, manage and collaborate and act as a single point of contact between Finance, Procurement and People Solution functions Leadership and Extended Leadership team with IT Organisation. Drive harmonization and alignment within TBS functions and IT functions

  • TBS IT Strategy – Provide leadership and influence the Takeda Business Services strategy and lead the IT translation and operationalization by (applying existing, emerging and new IT & Digital standards).

  • Capability Development and Co-Creation – Establishing the contribution that technology can make to TBS business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting & documenting requirements with stakeholders, conducting high level feasibility studies, producing business models and shaping business cases. Act as a trusted advisor to the business, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels to guide and co-create new capabilities that are directly relevant to TBS strategy.

  • Overseeing implementation of solutions – checking against the initial requirements  

  • Operational responsibility – Drive and manage day-to-day TBS IT operations and performance while also delivering committed portfolio of TBS projects. Identifying and raising issues impacting the execution of strategic / operational / project plans 


Key Accountabilities:



  • Owns IT relationship with Takeda Business Solutions and is accountable for business outcomes enabled by technology & digital. Act as an advisor and leader in identifying and delivering relevant solutions that add business value.

  • Provide strategic technology leadership and will help shape and drive growth, innovation and differentiation across BU, while maintaining global alignment, through existing standards and emerging technology.

  • Collaborate and harmonize/align strategic approaches and the operationalization with other IT business partners within Corporate IT and other relevant IT organisation like CTO to shape IT vision and direction.

  • Coordinate with the relevant Takeda Business Solution Process Experts to enable BU’s core capabilities (Finance Procurement and People Solution) as well as other Global IT functions

  • Lead and maintain IT roadmaps in alignment with TBS strategic plans, ensuring those roadmaps are aligned in the region and globally

  • Influence and drive TBS’s strategy and roadmap definition, ensuring technology & digital are key enablers in the discussion.

  • Network with and get to know the key team members across all IT functions (CTUX, UAMS, Enterprise Digital, CTO, Corporate IT, Global Manufacturing and Supply, etc.) so that demand and solutions can be best coordinated, especially those areas not directly in the scope of TBS IT

  • Communicate and Lead the operating plan across the TBS and IT leadership

  • Influence and advise the IT & Digital Head for TBS to execute the operating plan

  • Lead the use relevant KPI Dashboard to monitor and manage progress across operations (end user experience), projects and budget

  • Communicate progress within the business and IT. Present TBS LT and TBS Extended Leadership Team metrics to leadership

  • Create a culture of agility, performance, and value in technology services


Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience:



  • Deep understanding of Finance/Procurement or HR business process capabilities

  • Previously experience in performing business partnering role within similar Global Business Services Organisation

  • Ability to connect, orchestrate and influence different stakeholders from various departments and vendors to drive for affordable and usable solutions

  • In depth knowledge of the different technology & digital solutions in the Finance, HR or Procurement Shared Services

  • Hands-on, able to implement and execute initiatives

  • High level project management skills

  • Ability to collect and understand Global Business Services IT and Digital Solution business requirements from cross functional stakeholders, then able to ensure solutions are delivered to business on time and budget through the Business Process Experts and the GCC

  • Exceptional knowledge of existing and emerging digital technologies. Understanding of online communities and key success factors for driving exceptional results

  • An ability to develop, document and present simple Business documentation including Business Cases, Business Requirements, Technology Architecture and Project Plans

  • Experience using and delivering Shared Services and Digital technologies (Machine Learning, SAP Finance and Procurement or Automation e.g.: RPA

  • Experience in emerging Digital Technology in the space of Shared Services like RPA, Intelligent Automation, Machine Learning are an advantage

  • Able to create a technology roadmap and to lead a matrix team towards this technology roadmap

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with team members in: System Integrators, IT Business Partner, Enterprise Architects and Digital Service lines.

  • Strong ability to build external collaborations with industry partners and suppliers

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Finance, Computer Science or Engineering

  • Working experience managing Finance, Procurement or HR Shared Services IT initiatives including large external service provider partnerships within Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech environment

  • Experience of information management and/or related work experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong collaborating skills and experience in people management and skills development

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to listen and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing Shared Services digital solution like RPA, Intelligent automation solutions

  • Passion for optimizing the People / end-user experience.

  • Strong knowledge of information management, data quality, data constraints and Governance Frameworks like SOX, GDPR and ITGC.  

  • Versed in Risk management possessing ability to identify, analyse, track, manage and resolve risks issues that impact project

  • Understands and coordinates all aspects of IT including end user experience (infrastructure and applications) in TBS and can coordinate cross IT activities

  • Experience with full software development life cycle in regulated environment (FDA, GxP, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR and other data privacy, computer system validation, a plus)

  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience preferable

  • Experience on large IT projects from start to end

  • Expertise in budget planning and financial management.
