We are currently seeking a Communication & Learning Manager (f/n/m) in Münchwilen (AG), Switzerland. In this role you will work in close contact with the operational site management team and act as the Communication and Learning & Development (L&D) representative for the site.


Role purpose:



  • Develop and implement site internal and external communications strategies that support the corporate strategy, build the Syngenta brand and protect the Syngenta reputation

  • Build the L&D function for the site, with at first a strong focus on HSE competence & training

  • Work with site teams in the areas of communication and L&D to facilitate change

  • Act as Information Security Coordinator for the site


Your accountabilities:


Communication – 50%



  • Develop and implement internal / external communication strategies that engage employees with Syngenta's purpose, values and business challenges, enable transformation and the successful implementation of the strategy

  • Support / implement engagement programs that build the Syngenta culture, brand and reputation

  • Coach leaders, teams and project groups to build their communications capability

  • Drive the implementation of site communication programs within the respective business/function

  • Support the implementation of programs and processes that help leaders, teams and project groups engage with their stakeholder groups and build two-way dialogue

  • Work closely with other communicators, including Production & Supply Communications, Swiss Communications and Corporate Affairs

  • Manage communications channels and projects and develop compelling, timely communication

  • Ensure visibility of site through regular activities, storytelling, site visits for stakeholders/customers, etc.


Learning & Development – 50%



  • Implement a Competence Management System to manage HSE competence & training activities

  • Develop learning programs in line with the company's strategic objectives, at the beginning with a strong focus on HSE activities

  • Ensure the implementation of the learning programs – administration, training follow-up and reporting

  • Provide support to HSE & technical experts by creating e-learnings and helping with the conceptualization of trainings

  • Administer Competence Management System & Learning Management System

  • Provide trainings in areas of expertise, e.g. communication, presentation & pedagogical techniques, learning methods and techniques

  • Set up an evaluation system for training activities

  • Lead/contribute to projects related to learning, competence and training

  • Provide advice and pedagogical support to trainers

 

Qualifications

 

What we expect:



  • Bachelor's degree, technical diploma or equivalent in Communication, Learning & Development, HR or relevant field

  • Excellent communications skills in German and English required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in in Communication or Learning and Development, preferably in a major company or complex matrix organization

  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience

  • Demonstrated presentation and pedagogical skills and experience

  • Event management skills and experience beneficial

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships at different levels

  • High affinity for technology and innovation; knowledge of LMS tools and Articulate beneficial

  • High affinity for change and ability to grasp trends and propose transformational solutions through collaboration with key stakeholders

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed organization
