To support our Communications Division, FIFA is looking to recruit an open-minded and solution oriented person as a Content Manager, 100%


 


Your role


 


The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering engaging written content for a range of audiences and extensive experience of speech writing at top senior management level.


The ability to contribute scripts to support organisational and corporate communications campaigns through the management of a range of content types will also be key to the success of this role.


 


Your duties


 



  • Implement all editorial requirements (text, data/statistics, photo, graphics, audio and video) for delivery of standard competition and corporate coverage and campaigns across FIFA’s owned and operated digital platforms according to deadline and budget

  • Input/Output: Focus on output by maintaining a close cross-divisional collaboration with other communications colleagues in creating and publishing content as part of product delivery on FIFA owned and operated channels, syndication/distribution platforms and other media

  • Deliver content/campaign requirements (with an emphasis on digital communication methods) to promote individual stakeholder activities in line with the President’s Vision, 2020-23

  • Support the management of an external content and campaign team (newsroom – text, data, documentation (PDFs), photography and multimedia services) to ensure the necessary editorial resources are available (on-site and off-site) to deliver content in an effective and efficient manner according to the agreed content plan

  • Implement the editorial positioning for FIFA’s corporate and competition activities in line with management guidelines across owned and operated channels

  • Understand and be conscious of the political and commercial nature of some of FIFA’s activities around the sport in addition to reporting on football, in ensuring a professional and service-minded approach to all content requests

  • Utilise FIFA regional offices to support as content and campaign production hubs so they help to collect and convey the message and liaise with the project management team to find local resources to help with the content gathering process

  • Support the delivery of relevant streamed video content for FIFA corporate and competition activities according to agreed procedures (e.g. delivering video news releases (VNRs)) and respecting relevant media rights agreements

  • Ensure digital is the preferred means of communication for all outputs and implementing tools needed to replace written editorial publications and/or PDFs

  • When required, support other FIFA needs in terms of ordering and publishing content for use on FIFA’s digital platforms

  • Support the development and cross-divisional application of a content style guide that upholds FIFA’s standards, values and style across all activities that ensures FIFA’s image and reputation is considered at all times – and across all media

  • Support the overhaul of the basic data collection and content tagging from FIFA competitions via the football data hub (FDH) project and any other competition (and/or event) deemed relevant to create the necessary competition, player, team/country pages on FIFA channels

  • Support the establishment and usage of a digital asset management (DAM) system and content tagging for photos, graphics (coordinated with Brand) and certain video for all non-competition-related FIFA activities


 


Our requirements


 



  • Bachelor degree in communications/journalism

  • Proven experience (4+ years) working in an international sports and/or media organisation – with a specific background in football and/or journalism

  • Solid experience coordinating successful communications campaigns

  • Digital communications expertise and the ability to build and maintain an audience and maintain interest over time

  • Expertise in video production and social media as well as standard messaging and content creation

  • Knowledge of SAP an asset

  • Advanced MS Office skills

  • Fluent English, knowledge of any other FIFA language a plus: French, Spanish, German

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and management of messaging and media

  • Creative and innovative

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Attention to detail, discreet

  • Team player

  • Excellent understanding and identification with football
