Job reference: WD-0006893 What's the role? We are looking for a team leader to join our General Ledger team in the Finance Shared Service Center. In this role you would be part our Finance community overseeing a team of 4 General Ledger Accountants based out of our headquarters in Schaan. Who is Hilti? What does the role involve? Process / Service level management

- Manage & steer the General Ledger (GL) function including month-end & year-end closing for headquarter entities.

- Ensure consistent and correct financial bookings including accruals/provisions, Fixed assets, Intercompany and tax.

- Be a sparring partner for the Finance Manager by linking business decisions to accounting processes.

- Be a dedicated contributor to the global Finance community as part of our Shared Leadership Model and projects.



Leadership & Performance management

- Analyze & steer the General Ledger performance and derive improvements for the General Ledger processes.

- Effectively manage compliance and quality in the General Ledger function.

- Act as business partner with the Finance teams to establish best in class GL processes in the Shared Service Center.

- Consistently challenge the status quo, act as change agent in the Shared Service Center.



People development

- Develop a high performing General Ledger team in direct responsibility and foster diversity & inclusion.

- Educate, inspire and coach GL employees to drive operational excellence & compliance.

- Develop talents for the succession pipeline.



Compliance & Risk

- Ensure compliance with group, legal and tax requirements.

- Operate and monitor General Ledger related internal controls.

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Finance or similar, have an equivalent finance qualification with CPA/CA, or proven experience in financial accounting

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial leadership role, showing a strong passion for people

  • You have proven to have a holistic Finance process understanding to manage the General Ledger function including month-end closing and year-end closing

  • Evidence of acting as business partner through influencing and interacting with key stakeholders, and proven successful communication at all levels of the organization

  • You are highly organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with a strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through skills

  • Proficient English written & verbal communication skills

  • Expertise in SAP S/4

  • Knowledge of IFRS standards and local GAAP
