We are looking for a Digital Workplace Engineer, with passion for the Windows 10 platform, Modern Device Management and Automation in a global environment with over 35’000 Windows clients and a growing fleet of mobile devices. We expect positive disruption and automation that supports our journey from on-premise device management to cloud-based Modern Device Management. You will work with technologies like Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Windows Autopilot (and Autopilot for pre-provisioned deployment), and actively drive the move to a 100% full cloud-managed Windows 10 device with zero-touch provisioning. Global IT within Hilti is a truly global team with main hubs in Buchs (Switzerland), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Plano/Tulsa (USA). All locations have highly competent teams who work very closely together. Hilti`s Global IT team is known for their focus on sustainable value creation by translating latest IT innovations into value creating solutions & services. What does the role involve? Your primary focus will be taking the full ownership of Windows device management in the cloud and help us to grow and improve the fleet of 100% cloud managed Windows Devices. With still 20k+ devices managed in the legacy environment, you will actively drive our move to the cloud management by leveraging and rolling out technologies like Windows Autopilot or Microsoft Endpoint Manager. The management of Windows upgrades, driver management, application packaging, and the certification of new Windows devices from HP, Lenovo and Dell will be additional responsibilities. You will be working closely with our vendors, user group representatives, and Regional IT managers – from requirements gathering, design, engineering, rollout to 3rd level support.



In your role you will be working along-side other engineers and solution architects on different layers of the infrastructure.   • Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems / Technology or related fields or equivalent educational qualification with profound working experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in Windows device management in either cloud or on-premise environments

  • A great passion and experience for at least two of the following areas: Windows 10 Engineering, Cloud based Device Management (MS Endpoint Manager, WorkspaceOne, etc.), Windows Autopilot, SCCM

  • A good understanding on security best-practices and processes

  • Ability to lead global major rollouts in the Windows Desktop area (e.g. Windows Autopilot) and strong ownership

  • Fluent in English and proven expertise in technical writing, vendor/stakeholder management, and professionalism while working under pressure

  • Intermediate knowledge in related IT infrastructure field (network, identity management, software packaging)

  • Certifications like Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, MCSA are a plus

  • Passion for innovation, critical analysis, and reporting
