Role purpose:


Within the benefits function we believe our role is more than delivering market competitive pension and insurance benefits in a (cost) efficient way to our employees.  As Global Benefits Manager you support the Head Group Benefits in defining and delivering our future benefits strategy supporting our different BU’s and make Syngenta an attractive place to work for a diverse & equal workforce. 


This is a hands-on and consultative role, in which you will research, develop, and administer employee benefit programs that are competitive and encourage our employees to lead (financially) healthy and fulfilling lives.


Core accountabilities:



  • Employee benefits insurance programme (incl. captive / pooling and other contracts)

  • International mobile population: international pension plan, International health plan & travel policy

  • Employee assistance programme

  • Outplacement programme

  • Support finance and compensation in the budgeting process estimating cost of local benefits

  • Management of providers/vendors (brokers, insurers, administrators, etc.) and measurement against their servicing requirements.

  • Follow up on trends within the benefits domain (global / regional) to identify opportunities

  • Keep our global benefits database up to date

  • Act as a subject matter expert to the different Total Reward Managers supporting the different countries in employee benefits

  • Ensure benefits are benchmarked regularly ensuring an attractive benefits package

  • Train, develop and motivate the regional benefits teams to enhance the expertise

  • Support benefits projects in individual countries where expertise required

  • Support M&A activities

  • Improve employee benefits communication globally (through digital tools)

  • Support D&I, making our benefits more inclusive and take diversity into account

  • Support Future of Work and benefits innovation

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:



  • Work experience of several years in C&B in a complex, international, multi-business environment

  • Project management experience and working with global teams across matrix

  • Preferably master’s degree in economic or social sciences

  • Consultative skills

  • Analytical thinker

  • Business acumen

  • Fluent in English, additional languages such as German / Spanish / French are an asset
