Analytical Manager

Your tasks:

Overall responsibility for the management of the Analytical Lab at Lucerne

Responsible for the operational readiness of analytical instruments and systems including procurement, maintenance and inventory management

Ensuring a continuous analysis service for gemmologists

Definition and implementation of standardized analysis procedures (FT-IR, UV-Vis-nIR, MCS, Raman, ED-XRF, LA-ICPMS, Radiography)

Coordination of analytical and gemmological digital data logistics and synchronization of data management between HK, NY, LU and

the off-premise-testings

Collaboration in the AI project 'Gemtelligence'

Definition and integration of quality control and quality assurance in all analytical areas

Active development of new analytical methods

Conducting internal trainings and lectures

Your profile:

MSc or PhD in Earth Sciences (Geochemistry) or in a related scientific discipline

Previous experience in a comparable function with P&L responsibility

Demonstrated experience in geochemical laboratory work, especially

with LA-ICPMS

High problem-solving competence

Proven experience in the management of demanding, technical projects

People Leadership skills

You will report to the Managing Director of the GGL.
