Your Responsibilities
You assist the development of the next generation of water quality sensors and learn to work in an interdisciplinary project team. Your future supervisor, Raffaele (Senior R&D Engineer) explains, what you can expect from the internship.
What are the specific tasks?
Together with your colleagues, you will verify new ideas for innovative water quality sensors. You will perform tabletop experiments, develop prototypes, configure sensors and evaluate measurement data. You also have the opportunity to improve your programming skills in Python.
What are the daily challenges?
Measuring pollution levels in drinking water raises awareness and builds pressure on the institutions to implement sustainability politics. The effect of these policies must also be measurable with continuous monitoring. You will have the opportunity to participate in the development of new water quality sensors. Your duties will include running experiments, prepare setups and perform idea validation. By doing this you will gain hands-on experience useful for your future career. Also, you will get to know all the activities from idea screening to fast prototyping, which requires a sense of initiative and independence.
