To support our Manufacturing Operations in Chavornay, we are looking for a:

 

PURCHASING MANAGER
(RESPONSABLE D’APPROVISIONNEMENT)

 

ROLE

 

Reporting to the Supply Chain & Procurement Director, the Purchasing Manager will be primarily responsible for supplying raw materials, equipment and services in line with company requirements including:

• Develop and execute the Purchasing strategies that meet SICPA’s business needs and creates a sustainable competitive advantage


• Manage the Purchasing function coordinating internally/externally requirements from forecasts to production operations


• Ensure provision of products and services in the quantity/quality that meets SICPA specifications considering total cost of ownership


• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness, maintain accurate records


• Manage a team of purchasing specialists


• Lead improvement / digitalisation projects related to procurement processes and flows


• Provide guidance and ensure Purchasing process and governance for SICPA Manufacturing Operations at a global level

 

PROFILE

 

• University degree in a supply chain related discipline or Federal Diploma in Purchasing


• At least 10 years of experience in relevant purchasing positions (products and services) with at least 3 years of people management experience, ideally in an industrial and international environment


• Good knowledge of demand management and production planning processes, MRP/MPS


• Good knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office suite, data and analytics tools: Power BI an asset


• Strong business acumen and analytical skills


• Excellent communication and leadership skills


• Fluent in English and French, German an asset
