You will be part of our highly cross-functional development team, solving complex aerial robotics challenges from research and development all the way to scaled up production. Your solutions will be employed by thousands of customers in challenging robotics applications worldwide.
Responsibilities
Lead the electronics team through coaching of team members and driving best practices
Act as project manager for electronics focused projects with a project team consisting of members of your own team as well as mechanical and software engineers (matrix structure)
Design high quality electronics yourself (concept, schematics capture, layouting) using Altium Designer to improve on and expand the Wingtra product line-up
Help other engineers troubleshoot hard to solve issues they got stuck on by leveraging your in-depth experience and providing a different viewpoint
Identifying and invest in infrastructure and tools required to take electronics development at Wingtra to the next level
Identify relevant training opportunities together with individual electronics engineers to grow the overall team expertise in a relevant direction
Stay up to date with the latest developments in the open source ecosystem (Dronecode)
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in electrical engineering
5+ years of experience developing complex electronic systems
Proven track record in electronics development of complex products
Successfully demonstrated CE compliance on developed products
Experience working with high-speed bus systems (USB 2.0+, Gigabit Ethernet)
Experience developing electronics on mobile devices (drones, wearables, phones, cars)
Strong understanding of analogue and digital circuit design concepts
Expert know-how in electronics design tools (preferably Altium Designer)
Teamplayer with excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills in English
Plus
Experience with STM microcontrollers
Experience with firmware development
