As a Software Engineer at Acodis, you will work in our Winterthur offices on customer-oriented solutions in collaboration with our team. You'll develop and enhance sustainable machine learning systems for specific document types, apply your skills in rapid prototyping, as well as developing long-term sustainable systems and use state-of-the-art algorithms to build industry-ready solutions. You will contribute to the backend of our document understanding solution at the cross-section of research and industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance sustainable machine learning systems for specific document types


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams, including front-end developers, researchers and product managers to propel our products forward


• Design, implement and release new services based on our purpose-built data retrieval engine


• Apply your skills in rapid prototyping and use state-of-the-art algorithms to build industry-ready solutions


• Develop and maintain sustainable software systems


• Keep up-to-date with the latest and emerging technologies

Required

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience


• Strong programming skills
  


• Demonstrated knowledge of machine learning applications


• Being eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship)


• Quick learner with a flair for reliable and scalable systems


• Proficient English speaker

• C#, Python, TypeScript and SQL


• Experience with functional programming languages (e.g. Haskell, F#, Scala)


• Expertise in data structures and algorithms
