For more information, visit our website: www.abbvie.ch Director Communications, External & Governmental Affairs The Role: In this newly created combined role, you will hold responsibility for AbbVie's Swiss branch for internal & external communication, patient relations & professional relationships with policy-making bodies, payers and other non-traditional stakeholders. Furthermore, will you act as the media spokes- & contact-person. Your overarching responsibilities include: Lead the local communications, patient relations and external affairs team Develop, plan and execute strategic and tactical roadmap for communication, patient relation & governmental affairs throughout Switzerland Foster collaboration - directly and with the team - in the brand team matrix across therapeutic areas/products Be an active member of the Swiss affiliate leadership team Ensure an ongoing and active interaction and exchange with the European and global communications, external & governmental affairs teams. Communications: Develop and enhance the AbbVie story messaging, considering current trends, priorities and global strategies Represent AbbVie and its positions vis-à-vis the media, patient organizations, and other relevant stakeholder audiences. Ensure high-quality and high-frequency support of all internal and external communication channels, as well as tracking of the impact of external affairs measures regarding quantity, quality and corporate reputation. Screen communication trends; correspond further development in the context of a multi-channel approach Issue and execute the crisis communication process, compliant with industry regulations Issue and own the strategy and execution of communication activities Act as media spokesperson Governmental Affairs & Patient Relations: Lead and moderate external stakeholder interactions Expand, build and maintain external stakeholder partnerships (e.g., policy makers, health and drug authorities, patient groups, physician associations and professional organizations), strengthening AbbVie's reputation. Promote internal understanding of government policies and processes Lead strategic multi-stakeholder initiatives with a focus on improving patient care and healthcare sustainability In this role, you report to the General Manager Switzerland. Qualifikationen Your profile: Higher education at the Master's level in a related field Broad expertise and experience in the fields of internal and external communication, patient relation & governmental affairs gained within the Swiss health care landscape, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry Profound knowledge of the Swiss political landscape, public health policy and how policy decisions are made and influenced Excellent communication, presentation and negotiations skills as well as political intuition Solution-oriented, pragmatic approach and working style with the ability to discuss and represent the concerns of a wide range of stakeholders at C-level Seasoned People Leader Business fluency in German (native speaker preferred) & English as well as preferably in French Our offer: AbbVie is one of the fastest-growing, innovation-driven pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
