You will strongly contribute to the development and enhancement of the GE Power Plant Performance Tool. Used across the company, from the concept, the design to Digital Twin, this tool is a key differentiator both in the standard power plant business and in the digital market.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Act as a member of the Agile development team, representing the face of high quality design and development practices • Get the guidance from Senior Team Members and collaborate with the members of the agile team to implement solutions that are aligned with the product and the vision • Support the thermodynamic definition of power plant components (e.g Steam Turbine, Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Boilers, etc)
• Develop, test and validate components (both for new implementation and existing ones) • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies (e.g Lean, Agile) • Writes codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the product
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest in Computer Science • Strong professional experience in the Power Plant Engineering • Professional experience in Software development

Technical Expertise: • Knowledge of Thermodynamic
• Understanding of Power Plant Performance (e.g combined cycle, conventional steam plant, renewable plant, etc) • Experience in numerical and applied mathematics • Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain • Experience with C/C++ desktop application • Ability to adapt to a given software structure • Ability to work conceptionally • Optional expertise: o Experience with SDLC and methodologies (e.g Lean/Agile, Source code management, bug tracker) o Knowledge of Fortran
