Senior Enforcement Analyst, YouTube Monetization, Trust and Safety

  • Lead technical projects, complex queries and analyses, build statistical models, and construct presentations on abuse trends to aid in fraud prevention and influence change in existing abuse detection and enforcement systems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Product, Legal and Sales on initiatives to increase automation, develop front-end tools, update policies, fix product loopholes, and provide a better experience for advertisers.

  • Strengthen global partnerships with senior stakeholders, across and beyond Trust and Safety or YouTube, to identify and advance common goals.

  • Represent a well-researched, data-driven, user-focused stance for Google that balances users, advertisers, product, and brand considerations across a variety of policy issues and platforms.

  • Lead data driven analysis that result in actionable insights to improve performance and quantify enforcement impact.


Minimum qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in one of the following: querying datasets (e.g, SQL, MapReduce), statistical analysis (e.g. R, Stata, SAS), or data-focused programming (e.g. Python, C/C++).


Preferred qualifications:



  • Experience with scripting language machine learning tools, techniques, and systems.

  • Experience in content policy, anti-abuse operations, and/or abuse fighting at scale.

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects across organizational boundaries, independently, and in a timely manner.

  • Ability to independently prioritize competing stakeholder demands, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities with a proven history of going above and beyond to make operational improvements and solve tough problems.


Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.


As a Senior Enforcement Analyst for YouTube Monetization, you are passionate about making sure that YouTube is a safe platform for advertisers, creators, and users. Your responsibility is to initiate and lead projects and analysis to resolve complex brand safety problems on YouTube. You will proactively identify emerging abuse trends, run investigations, perform searches, and identify patterns. You’re able to surface actionable insights to mitigate and combat abuse vectors on the monetizing YouTube corpus.
