In this new position, you are contributing to the next generation of the Process Automation devices. This work is a cornerstone of the realization of the GF Piping Systems Process Automation Strategy 2025. As the GF Piping Systems Embedded Webserver Software Engineer, you will coordinate and align the internal activities concerning web server requirements, development and deployments over all relevant products. You will establish a long-term strategy to setup the GF Piping System Process Automation embedded Webserver on a common framework to avoid multiple and fragmented developments. You will guide and lead a partner network on a global scale by applying agile methodologies and sound requirements engineering. Your tasks:
Guide, support and execute the design and programming with internal and external partners. Full responsibility for the projects in terms of process, risks, quality, and costs
Collect customer feedback and product management input and formulate specifications and requirements for web technology for embedded systems
Manage the software tasks in the project and development of the GF Piping Systems digital line portfolio
Ensure the software quality and function according to the requirements and application in the field
Define tests strategies and procedures for verification of the programs
Adopt DT methods and propose new features and functions for further evolution of the software and the product portfolio
Support the R&D and Product Management with functional prototypes during the concept, pilot, and development phases
Create in cooperation with Process Automation and Building Technologies R&D departments a standard of software architecture with the state of the art modeling methods (like SysML, UML) and programming principles
Be the go-to person for your team, the wider Automation department, and senior stakeholders in the organization on software development
Your profile:
A Bachelor-/Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or comparable
At least 3 years of experience in the development of embedded Web Technologies
Experience in network protocols like TCP/IP and UDP
Knowledge in network security (TLS, SSL, AES) and wireless protocols (Bluetooth, WiFi)
Requirements/System Engineering methods and concepts
Data modeling and structuring
Sound project management skills on a technical level
Electro-technical know-how
English and German language skills on a high professional level
Willingness to travel on the occasional occurrence
