As a Senior Lifecycle Strategist at Smallpdf you will build the foundation for Lifecycle Marketing at Smallpdf. In this role, you will work within our Growth team to develop and execute strategies to onboard new users and drive them to discover more value with our platform utilizing channels such as email, push notifications and in-app messaging.


In your role, you will work with our Data and UX teams to identify behaviors that lead to a successful activation and long-term retention. You will also work with them to identify the optimal onboarding paths and deeper engagement opportunities for different customer segments. Then you will build onboarding and engagement campaigns to help our customers realize value from Smallpdf as early as possible (time to value) and set them up to become expert users of our platform in their respective companies.


This role is an individual contributor role that could scale over time to a team lead role.


Responsibilities



  • Lead the strategy, execution, measurement, and reporting for all customer onboarding lifecycle marketing programs and activities. Your initial focus will be to onboard and reduce the time to value for our customers.

  • Work closely with data and UX teams to identify actionable insights to create an onboarding journey specific to the needs of each customer segment.

  • Identify and execute campaigns to increase engagement of existing customers including use-case cross-discovery.

  • Work within the Growth team to ensure that the experience is aligned across product, incentives and notification channels to ensure a consistent, behavior driven experience for our customers.

  • Conduct regular A/B and multivariate tests to determine the effectiveness of your strategies and to drive further improvements


Requirements



  • At least 5 years of hands-on lifecycle marketing experience, preferably in SMB B2B or productivity B2C space.

  • Experience with cross-platform marketing engagement platforms such as Braze, Iterable, Leanplum, or MoEngage.

  • Experience building onboarding flows and driving customers to habit.

  • Experience using data and metrics to test assumptions and drive actions

  • Fluent in English, German is not necessary

  • EU-citizen or a valid work permit to work in Switzerland
