We are currently looking for a


Global Manager, Indirect Procurement Process Lead


As successful Process Lead Indirect Procurement you are responsible for the Indirect Procurement processes across CSL (incl. Seqirus) and as such, an integral part of ongoing business process optimization.


Accountable for CSL’s Global Indirect Processes, you cover all activities within Indirect Procurement and ensure wide fit-for-purpose ways are consistently applied across the entire organization. You establish and maintain global standards and process improvements to release the most value to the business users at different sites.


You successfully encourage global stakeholders to the new global capabilities and ensure training is in place and processes are conformed, including self-service procurement-related software and tools. You implement and improve processes within procurement tools and ensure business support through process expert networking.


Your responsibilities in detail include:



  • Coordination of global Indirect Procurement process improvement initiatives and projects ensuring adherence to global standards starting with business case development through implementation

  • Defining guiding principles, operating processes, metrics, and policies to drive operational value, productivity and efficiency globally

  • Strongly liaising with global stakeholders from seven Manufacturing sites plus Corporate Locations by understanding their needs and delivering a strong value to the overall CSL business

  • Responsible to define and manage improvement and innovation opportunities

  • Active participation in the Business Process Council on the review and approval of enhancements and projects that impact Procurement processes, solutions, data, technology, and 3rd party solutions

  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, accounting policy, and internal controls in strong partnership with Global Sourcing and Financial Controls functions

  • Provide oversight of Indirect Procurement day to day activities within the business to provide necessary BAU (Business as Usual) support

  • Lead and coach the team to bring the “blue sky concept” to reality through collaboration and ensure the development and involvement of the team

  • Benchmark any industry-leading practices to be compared with CSL value and opportunities to further improve

The below competencies furthermore contribute to your success:      



  • University degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field

  • 5 years of experience in procurement with increasing responsibility and at least 3 years of experience in a project management role, ideally in a global setting

  • Proven Source to Pay experience for transforming procurement operation (system and process changes)

  • Strong ability to drive and promote change, capability to effectively work in a matrixed and collaborative team environment

  • Ability to supervise and direct assigned staff including monitoring and evaluating work performance, interviewing and hiring staff, conducting training and development, establishing work priorities and scheduling job tasks

  • Understanding of procurement and finance technologies with hands-on experience in Contract Compliance, S4/Hana (MM), Subcontracting Purchasing, CMO, VMI, Catalog & Enablement

  • Innovative thinker with strong business acumen who identifies outside-the-box solutions and drives for results and encourages the team to a strong development of the function

  • Process and data-driven mindset, process improvement experience, and Six Sigma training is a plus

  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
