Transition Lead


Transition Lead - IM&T Operations  - Your future position?


 


The transition lead ensures the solution/service delivered is ready to be operated by the IM&T Ops (including Suppliers). Brings the IM&T Operations knowledge in projects and represents IM&T Operations interests during project lifecycle.


 


You will:


 



  • Accountable for the project handover to Operations (HOTO)


Project requirements & design



  • Contribute to project value case by consolidating IM&T Operations input (e.g. operational costs, license costs, impacts…)

  • Define and ensure  Operational high level requirements (Criticality, Service level, DRP, monitoring etc…) are documented

  • Escalate to IM&T ops manager in case Operations dependencies have not been identified on time.

  • Ensure operability of the solution design is aligned with the operational requirements

  • Ensure that non standards technology requirements usage has been validated and the proper actions are planned to prepare the operational readiness.

  • Define the HOTO approach

  • As part of the HOTO, ensure IM&T Operations has reviewed and validated the maintenance /support contract with a 3rd party supplier.


Project delivery



  • Validate Solution/Service design from the operational perspective

  • Review and validate the “decision gates” from the operational perspective

  • Coordinate HOTO plan execution and facilitate IM&T Operations teams involvement, such as :

    • HOTO check list follow-up (one file for APS, WPS, NLI and GDC, Security)

    • APS On boarding

    • Maintenance and Support  contract is signed and available to IM&T Operations Teams

    • Support model agreement

    • Service catalog, Knowledge base, CMDB updated

    • Access rights management defined and documented


  • Before go live, confirm IM&T Operations readiness and exit criteria

  • At the end of the stabilisation period, provide IM&T Operations sign-off

  • Is involved in the post implementation review process to provide feedback on the quality of the product delivered (level of readiness) and how to improve project hand over process


Specific responsibility



  • Responsible within the Transition Leads team to manage the inventory of Transition Leads Processes, Tools and  Documentation

  • Organize documentation storage and update the documentation based on changes of Processes, Tools and Docs

  • Point of reference in the team for the Transition Leads Processes, Tools and  Documentation


Communication



  • Is the single point of contact for a project on Operational matters

  • Provide project information to IM&T Operation teams

  • Provide visibility on projects to the Transition and Technical Delivery Manager


 


Continuous improvement



  • Raise improvements ideas for the hand over to operations

Your professional profile includes:



  • Education / Primary Qualification:

  • Required University Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

  • Professional experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT delivery and operations.

  • Solid IT background and technology understanding.

  • Good ITIL knowledge for service transition (ITIL certification will be an added advantage)

  • Good coordination and communication skills

  • Knowledge of Givaudan Project methodology

  • Fluent in English & one other language.
