International Tax Director


International Tax Director (North America and Canada) – 
Your future role?


 


Multiple location: Vernier (Switzerland), Cincinnati (USA).



As an International Tax Director (North America and Canada), you will be based either in our worldwide Headquarter in Vernier (Switzerland) or in Cincinnati (USA) and you will support the Group Head of Tax in the management of all corporate tax aspects in the North America and Canada region (including TP planning; audit management; BAPA negotiations, business projects partnering, M&A tax support ). You will work with the regional finance director in all corporate tax aspects affecting the activities in the regions. You will also ensure a sustainable and compliant tax framework for the Givaudan's business activities. As a senior member of the global tax team you will participate in projects across the tax team activities.


 


In this exciting challenge, your main responsibilities will be the followings:


 



  • Support the Group Head of tax in tax planning initiatives / mergers and acquisitions and integrations;

  • Support the Group Head of tax on Advance Pricing Agreements (APA's), tax settlements and open dialogues with tax authorities;

  • Work with the regional finance directors and country finance managers in all corporate tax matters affecting the activities in the regions;

  • Manage the relationship with external providers of tax services;

  • Support the business, as partner, in providing tax advice on relevant topics;

  • Coordinate with VAT Director and Group Trade Affairs on common projects;

  • Follow up on Tax legislation changes throughout your regions and optimize tax opportunities linked with the local and region business in connection with local finance managers;

  • Lead and provide strategic advice to transfer pricing working with our TP shared service in Budapest;

  • Prepare transfer pricing documentation and related compliance including research, planning and documentation;

  • Manage tax audit activity and collaborate with the local finance organisation to develop the strategy, positioning and execution of audit activities

  • Work with treasury team on inter-company financing and with legal department on preparation of inter-company agreements;

  • Participate in tax projects as a senior member of the global tax team, including the integration of acquired companies, restructurings.


 


Your successful profile includes: 


 



  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • 10 or more years’ experience in corporate tax departments within multinational companies or tax firms.

  • Project Management Capabilities

  • Fluent in English (written & oral)

  • Experience in a matrix organisation

  • Knowledge of OECD TP methodology;

  • Excellent broad regional/International Tax knowledge Expertise in preparing financial models and projections;

  • Expertise in managing tax audits;
