Data Strategy Manager

Your field of responsibility

 

The responsibilities include:



  • Evolve Data Management Strategy to include the impact of latest technologies, regulations, industry standardisation and architecture pattern.

  • Partner with CDO teams in divisions and function and support them in the execution of data strategy to ensure Group CDO Policies, Standards and Frameworks are adhered to.

  • Develop capabilities to visualise the data architecture landscape across the Group and define metrics to effectively measure the complexities in current state data architecture.

  • Coordinate with divisional/functional CDO teams to develop their target data architecture and approach to simplification of data architecture.

  • Establish an Enterprise Data Catalogue providing transparency on governed data in Authoritative Data Sources.

Group CDO is organized as a team of specialists in a relatively flat hierarchy structure, where each member of the team is expected to produce high quality content whilst collaborating with colleagues to achieve the common goal of driving data strategy and providing oversight of data management plans across the whole of Credit Suisse Group. Data Strategy and Architecture team sets the data strategy, frameworks and data architecture standards for the bank. The team partners with CDO teams in divisions and functions to simplify bank’s data architecture. Your skills and experience

 

The right candidate will bring experience with strategy and architecture, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to partner with a broad range of audiences across business and technology to drive the execution of data strategy.



  • At least 5 years’ of proven experience within Investment / Private Banking.

  • 2-4 years’ experience in Data Strategy and Architecture function that involved setting standards and frameworks at the enterprise level.

  • Good understanding of the impact of technological trends (such as Cloud, Distributed Computing, IoT etc.) on data management.

  • Comfortable in managing ambiguity and ability to shape new concepts, initiatives and approaches from scratch.

  • Result oriented, proactive approach to manage workload, taking ownership of tasks and issues and seeing them through to completion within allotted timeframes.

  • Ability to apply a logical and detail oriented analytical thought process to resolving issues.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (presentation, interpersonal). Experience of distilling key messages for senior business partners.

  • Ability to challenge, influence and drive progress working with groups with differing priorities.

  • Phenomenal teammate, working across a broad set of peers and as part of a distributed team.

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment under tight timeframes.

Desirable:



  • Domain expertise in one of the following areas - Private Banking, Risk, Compliance or Finance.

  • Experience in data analysis and visualization technologies such as Qlik (preferred), Tableau and others.

  • Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management Toolset (Collibra, DQIM, IDQ).
