Your field of responsibility

 

In this position you will have the opportunity to onboard on a mission critical application serving the front office in Switzerland, built on Java and Angular. This role offers lots to learn for an eager full stack developer: support and maintain the frontend codebase and the chance to work on the unique challenges it poses in terms of performance. For the backend capabilities, as SUB IT is embarking on its cloud journey, we are moving from a web-logic stack to a Springboot / OpenShift stack. You will work closely with the business at all levels to understand the business specifications and convert requirements into technical solutions. Assist the Support team in investigations and escalations that are beyond their SME knowledge level and established team culture promoting DevOps, openness and engineering excellence. This position will give you the possibility to learn and grow with us as we move to the next level of agile maturity, scrutinize our practices and improve constantly. Your skills and experience

 

With the following skills you will be successful in this position:

• Passion for technology


• Ability to code in Java or Typescript/Java-script


• Knowhow of Microservices Architecture, Angular and Spring boot


• Willingness to mentor junior developers in the team


• Agile development experience a plus


• Strong sense of ownership when given a task


• Interest in building world class, self-testing software


• Understanding of cloud technology and grasp of DevOps are a big plus


• Strong analytic and problem solving skills


• Good oral and written communication skills and a positive and proactive team attitude
