Finance Manager

What it's about

To lead our finance team responsible for all statutory, regulatory and local finance needs of our entities in continental Europe we are looking for a Team Head assuming the following responsibilities:

 

• Oversee day-to-day accounting, financial closing process according to local GAAP and IFRS, periodic VAT filings and income tax provisions for our entities in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany, France and Italy


• Review and sign-off on annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS and oversee year-end audits


• Ensure compliance with regulatory financial and reporting requirements


• Prepare and monitor annual budget for all offices in scope in collaboration with local office leaders and office management


• Ensure adherence to and development of the internal control system (ICS) in your area


• Monitor changes to business needs, accounting standards, regulatory financial requirements as well as local tax law, analyse the impact on current structures and update relevant procedures together with stakeholders across the global finance team and the wider organization


• Prepare the financial sections for local board reporting and represent finance in local boards


• Take responsibility in finance and accounting projects as assigned by the head office in Switzerland

 

What we expect

• For this challenging position, we are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years relevant financial accounting and / or audit experience


• The candidate must have professional accountancy qualification (Chartered Expert in Financial and Managerial Accounting and Reporting, Certified Public Accountant or equivalent)


• Some managerial experience would be a benefit in this role as it will involve leading a team of five spread across two offices


• We are further looking for a reliable and trustworthy individual with strong analytical skills, ability to pay excellent attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines


• The candidate must also have good communication and employee engagement skills as well as an independent working style and a strong desire to learn and succeed


• Fluency in German and English is required
