Key responsibilities



  • Extend and maintain a scalable, heterogeneous infrastructure system over multiple data centres with Switches, Firewalls, HSMs, as well as physical servers and VMs

  • Ensure high availability, latency, performance, capacity, scalability, and deployment of our current infrastructure

  • Automation of all components using Ansible and Docker

  • Expert knowledge of Linux OS capabilities, including troubleshooting experience

  • Extend and maintain existing and new blockchain nodes

  • Ensure the secure operation of backends (advanced load and fail balancing with HAProxy, Apache, and Nginx; database servers replication)

  • Proactively control and improve existing monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting infrastructure (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana)

  • Continue developing our modern IAM solution

  • Drive integration of secure technologies and applications

  • Patch management, continually deploy new firmware and software

  • Maintain and create technical documentation of infrastructure as code/data, while also having knowledge of version control using tools, e.g. Git



    What we’re looking for


  • Degree in computer science or 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering

  • Great interest in infrastructure, automation, IT security, cloud

  • Enthusiasm for Linux/OpenBSD/Container technologies, e.g. kubernetes and/or open source software in general

  • Willingness to learn and some experience with the existing open-source ecosystem (Linux, OpenBSD, HAProxy, Nginx, Apache, Squid, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana, Graylog, Ansible, Docker)

  • Some experience in systems engineering and defensive security (DDoS protection, intrusion prevention)

  • Above average project management and organisation skills

  • High level of integrity and quality awareness

  • A team player who has great collaboration and communication skills

  • Good knowledge of English; German is a plus

  • Knowledge in blockchain technologies and crypto assets is also a plus
