Thomson Reuters is on a digital transformation journey, with the goal of making it easier and more delightful to do business with Thomson Reuters, driving incremental revenue through the digital channel and making it more efficient to serve customers.  Analytics, insights, rapid experimentation, optimization, intelligent recommendations, and reporting are all critical to our success.  We are seeking a Director of Data and Analytics to support our Digital and Shared Capabilities, which includes Digital Go To Market, Digital Customer Success, and Shared Capabilities.


About the Role



  • Develop the long-term data and analytics strategy to enable the right insights at the right time across the customer experience for Digital and Shared Capabilities

  • Lead a team of full stack digital analysts and data scientists to derive insights, run rapid experiments, accelerate our go to market motion, and deliver business and customer results

  • Leverage AI to develop a data science strategy that spans across all areas of the business, from digital go to market innovation to customer success

  • Partner with analytics architects and shared services to build, enhance and maintain the enterprise digital data layer. This also includes adding, deleting and monitoring various tags placed on the tag manager and overall tag manager health

  • Develop standardized digital reporting and partner with business intelligence team to enable self-service for a broad audience where applicable

  • Measure the benefits of the digital experiences and customer behaviors

  • Define and implement a sound governance program, including roles and relationships, standards, and policies and procedures, that manage the quality, consistency, usability, and availability of information across the enterprise

  • Participate in a community across TR to define best practices regarding data consumption, modeling, analytics, reporting and how to convert customer data into insights and actionable decisions; provide accurate interpretation and consistent reporting of data on customer metrics and campaign/promotion results to share with the leadership team.


About You



  • Deep experience in SaaS trials and/or e-commerce related analytics with a thorough understanding of the complexities and dependencies of digital go-to-market including omni-channel enablement, entitlement/fulfillment, and drivers of sales/retention

  • 7-10 years of digital or web analytics experience, and specifically working on Adobe Analytics or similar tools

  • Experience leading and coaching teams on data and analytics best practices as well

  • 5+ years of aggregate experience spanning multivariate experimentation, audience segmentation (data management platforms) using tools like Adobe Target, Optimize, Adobe Audience Manager, Live Ramp etc.,

  • Passion for the customer, role model for customer driven innovation and a learning mindset, with a history of using an array of techniques to rapidly test most critical hypotheses and pivot as needed

  • Demonstrated ability to set & achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment, while evolving digital strategy based on both quantitative and qualitative analysis. Manage business expectations around prioritization and provide transparency to the process. 

  • Strong business and financial acumen with ability to define and drive digital analytics results such as lifetime value

  • Strong track record of successful execution of complex initiatives; completing and continuously delivering on expectations that have been set

  • Proven ability to take initiative and influence within a matrix organization to build strong, productive relationships while motivating and inspiring the product team, various stakeholders and others in the company that may contribute to the vision and strategy

  • History of partnering with product, technology, and design to experiment and effectively leverage analytics and technology to solve customer and business problems, allowing for space for technology driven innovation

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology

  • College degree preferred. A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
