BASEL OFFICE - Digital Learning Specialist


PURPOSE OF POSITION


 


The Digital Learning Specialist will join the Learning & Development (L&D) team and interact with Viking internal customers, L&D colleagues and external partners to support the strategy, development and quality of online learning at Viking.


He/she will be based in our Head Office in Basel, Switzerland. Please note that we can only accept candidates who are eligible to work in Switzerland or are in possession of a relevant work permit.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES


 


• Design high quality engaging digital learning content: focus on instructional design, storyboarding


• Convert existing modules to responsive mobile format, develop new interactive content


• Define guidelines – compliant with our Corporate Identity - and quality standards for online courses


• Provide strategic guidance on mobile implementation


• Update existing e-learning and training materials


• Ensure content quality & compatibility with our Learning Management System (LMS)


• Oversee the development of our LMSs (SuccessFactors and MXP eLearning), provide support, run reports and analyze key learning data


• Occasionally deliver face-to-face trainings / workshops in the use of our digital tools


• Create digital communication tools and channels with multimedia content that communicates with employees


• Support the delivery of virtual classrooms modules, using Adobe Connect and MS Teams


• Oversee all digital learning activities throughout all functions


• Maintain the Digital Learning SharePoint pages


• Report on digital learning throughout the organization


• Management of digital badges and rewards program


• Manage the production of various digital training material (publications, posters, infographics etc.)


• Create and distribute internal communications of L&D multimedia (e.g. CrewTV, illustrations of our leadership model and explanations of a manager, learner testimonials, and subject matter expert interviews)


 


QUALIFICATION PROFILE


 


• Excellent command of English - spoken and written


• Strong instructional design competencies (Online Portfolio is a plus), knowledgeable in adult online learning methodologies


• Strong understand and use our authoring tools (e.g. Storyline 360 & Captivate)


• Experienced in the development and design of mobile-learning content (responsive & apps)


• Experienced in managing a LMS; previous experience with SAP Success Factors will be a plus


• Good understanding of SCORM and AICC standards


• Good experience in gamification approaches


• Effective in the use of video and image editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop)


• Highly knowledgeable about online learning technical constraints (single sign-on, bandwidth, networks and learning servers etc.)


• University degree, ideally with a business or digital focus


• At least 2 to 3 years relevant experience in a similar role


• Strong analytical and organizational skills


• Detail-oriented


• Customer service skills and good communication


• Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel, and still deliver to demanding schedules/tight deadline


• Curious and passionate about digital learning trends and digital delivery channels (LMS solutions, video streaming platforms, web libraries, collaborative platforms, social media etc.)
