About the Role

This role can be based in Zurich or any other Swiss Re office in EMEA as well as in Bangalore.

In this role you will be the product owner of the core business intelligence solution for P&C Business Management. As such you shape the vision and strategy of the platform and you are accountable to maximize the value of the product.

In this leadership position get the opportunity to lead a small but globally and culturally diverse team (4 people) of senior specialists. Our Team interacts with our business and IT partners to bring product vision to tangible outcome.

You will also take ownership for driving content yourself as individual contributor or, supported by the Team.

About the Team

The P&C Analytics team is part of the P&C Business Management Enabling unit. We are responsible for the data foundation and data curation of the organization (Claims Management and Operations, Technical Accounting, Reserving, Inforce Management). We closely collaborate with our sister team that owns the System landscape as well as our IT partners that help us delivering our Solutions.

The most visible product for most of our business partners is our Business Intelligence solution hosted in Power BI for which you will have the product ownership. We shape the daily activities of 800 users!

About You

• A strong reinsurance expertise in multiple domains is a must, having 5+ years of working experience in the field.


• Strong analytical skillset, data visualization skill and you excel in presenting data to a target audience to enable them to make sense out of data. User centric design and how to source business requirements come natural to you.


• Advanced usage of Power BI or another state of the art Business Intelligence platform is a distinct advantage. Programming skills (SQL, Python, R) are beneficial but not a must.


• A consultative demeanor. You are able to listen to your business partners, interpret their needs and translate them into technical specifications. You like to constructively challenge and develop alternative proposals.


• People management experience and ability to develop talent and skills of current experienced team is a strong surplus.


• Experience in agile development as well as traditional project management and a track record leading projects of global scale.


• You enjoy to communicate at all organizational levels and to utilize influencing skills to ensure focus is given to the most value adding activities.
