IT Helpdesk agent (Zürich area, Onsite, 1st line support, German)

Tasks and Responsibilities



  • Act as the main point of contact for employees who are experiencing computer issues

  • Provide remote IT support for end users, troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems

  • Perform a full range of complex, technical operations and assignments within the helpdesk environment

  • Ensure operations are in accordance with the established procedures and practices.

  • Troubleshoot PC connectivity issues and network elements including ISP circuits, firewalls, network switches, wireless equipment and telephone system

  • Remote access solution (VPN) implementation and support

  • Escalate service issues when required

  • Communication with customers/end users as required, keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages

  • Advise and train staff on computer operations and software applications



  • At least 2 years Service Desk/Helpdesk/Technical Support experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Help Desk, Service Desk, or Technical Support environments

  • Demonstrated understanding of information technology, preferably with ITIL certification

  • Proficiency in use of PC and related software (spreadsheet, database, etc.) applications

  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills

  • Customer focused with a passion and drive for customer satisfaction and delivering business values

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good team player with planning and organizing skills

  • Fluency in English and German languages

  • Successful candidates have to declare Criminal record extract not older than 3 months
