Legal Operations System Specialist f/m/d


Responsibilities:



  • Implement, manage, maintain designated Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management applications such as the Legal page of the company intranet, global contract lifecycle management system, ASCENT e-Billing/Matter Management system, Risk Connect risk management system, ARAVO third party screening system.  Liaise and collaborate with the vendors and IT.  Draft and maintain system documentation (including training, SOPs, FAQs, and other related materials) to guide and educate users of the applications. 

  • Ensure effective and efficient initial user setup and initial user training, and provide comprehensive support to users on an ongoing basis as needed; this includes “help desk” type support for department members, but also in some cases direct support to key users of the systems in the region as an expert resource. Lead “train the trainer” programs for the applications

  • Participate as member of the global team by participating and attending global teleconferences/meetings which may occur outside of normal working hours.

  • Collaborate and align with other Legal Operations System Specialists on regular user communication, including information on system functionality, system updates, etc.

  • In conjunction with company IT and project management processes and procedures, lead implementation of new Legal department applications.

  • Collaborate with other team members and Legal Partners to create/maintain company intranet sites

  • Lead initiatives for improvement or re-configuration of designated applications

Qualifications:



  • University degree or equivalent, and/or relevant technical/vocational school education or relevant experience in information systems preferred. 

  • At least 3 years of substantive experience supporting legal applications and users of legal applications

  • Customer service/customer-focus orientation, strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Project management skills.  Strong communication skills.  Good collaborator, works well in a team.

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English language skills required.  Additional fluency in French, Italian, or Spanish language a plus.

  • Substantive knowledge of/experience using Microsoft Office suite and similar software
