We are currently looking for an experienced


Senior Platform Owner - Engineer


As a successful Platform Owner Engineer you are responsible for the technical installation & setup, account administration, maintenance, reliability, performance, and compliance of the local Core System platforms (PCS, MES, PLC, etc.) and associated interfaces. You are responsible for ongoing improvements, upgrades, support, and maintenance of the systems, including windows server administration, system virtualization support, Hotfix, KBA, and patch deployment for all locally hosted platforms, i.e.: Siemens PCS7, Siemens Opt-Center, Jag.


In detail, your responsibilities are:



  • Participate in defining the strategy aligned with the standardized ES approach & create the roadmap for the design, implementation and compliance of PCS-MES Systems, managing the lifecycle & operations.

  • Provide oversight & review of contractors/integrators work during design, construction, commissioning, and validation phases of projects & OPEX initiatives & changes

  • Provide support for budget & resource management to support key business projects

  • Drive technical alignment between the different GxP control system platforms by ensuring system configuration, access, system alarm management and maintenance standards are aligned across multiple platforms including interfaces with the Data Systems, Historian system, and the Manufacturing Control Network.

  • Identify gaps in standards and contribute to the modification of existing and new standards, where applicable. 

  • System administration and maintenance for local platform and systems including development, validation, simulation and production systems, including Microsoft server administration, Windows Hyper V server, system virtualization, system backup, archiving, and recovery (eg: Acronis, NetBackup), user group setup, system access, account management, and support



  • Interface with customer groups and platform vendors to ensure the local hosted control systems platforms are designed, executed, and delivered in accordance to Global Engineering Procedures and Execution Systems standards, including Quality, Facilities, Engineering, MFG, and EHS&S.

  • Participate in the adherence to of the CSV strategy and be responsible for investigations and CAPAs associated with the core system(s), and periodic reviews

  • Perform Project Manager Role on an interim basis


Who you are:


Following qualifications will contribute to your success



  • Bachelor (Masters preferred) of Science in Engineering or other Science discipline, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems



  • 3+ years' experience in pharmaceutical industry (or other regulated environment) including direct management experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Execution Systems/Automation; 4 years or more working experience in Execution Systems/Automation design and support

  • Direct experience designing, building, deploying and supporting automation and execution systems in a regulated large-scale process-based manufacturing environment

  • Experience in running site-based shop floor systems in a globally distributed footprint is highly desirable



  • Must have demonstrated capability for maintenance and compliance support of complex and integrated control systems from initial development through confirmation of the facility 

  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration; Server Virtualisation; Microsoft IIS troubleshooting; Dell Poweredge server hardware; System Networking including DNS, SMTP, NTP, vLAN, Network Switches / Routers, and Firewalls

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all organizational levels through clear, concise and impactful verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in Process Excellence methodology is desirable, but not required
