Job description

We are seeking an entrepreneurial personality with adept experience in the cloud environment. As part of a small startup team within SPIE ICS Switzerland, you will support as an experienced expert the set-up and development of the cloud business with SPIE in Switzerland. Entry date: by arrangement. Area of operation: entire Switzerland. Work location: Zurich, Basel, Berne, Lausanne or Geneva.

 

Key objective:

Development of new business for public and hybrid cloud services, expansion of business (cloud services) with existing customer base and new customers through creation of a technology framework and providing technical leadership supporting customer initiatives in cloud computing and automation, focusing on designing systems and services that run on cloud platforms.

 

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate benefits with opportunities of using public cloud and provide advice on "Cloud & Digital Transformation with SPIE with SPIE Digital Solutions".


• Develop value propositions to customers on how to achieve business objectives using cloud services up to comparing and demonstrating benefits over a legacy IT approach


• Develop architectures and create designs based on Microsoft Azure, M365 or other platforms and ensure the solution being highly adoptable in the customer-specific environment


• Co-author cloud strategies, execute cloud strategies within a customer environment and ensure highest customer success and satisfaction


• As a senior cloud architect, support SPIE cloud account managers in offer phases and help ensuring offers meeting customer needs with a best value proposition possible


• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to customers and as thought leader for SPIE cloud end-to-end architecture, including Microsoft Azure and M365 as priority area


• Maintain industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, and agile methodologies


• Evangelize the SPIE cloud vision through service presentations, in-market events, and account specific initiatives as well as internally across all levels


• Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on best practices achieved with customer and the SPIE Cloud Governance


• Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements


• Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts


• Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems


• Help identifying potential business opportunities and drive timely resolution


• Close cooperation with our strategic partners

Profile

Professional requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience


• 10+ years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or operations


• Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365 and HyperV implementations (alternatively AWS and Vmware)


• Azure Architect certification AZ-30x (or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional)


• Other / further Cloud related training accomplished is an advantage


• Knowledge of a multitude of programming languages including Python, PHP, Java, Node and Ruby on Rails


• Fluent German and English skills,French an advantage

Competences

• Experience in designing the applications that will be migrated to the cloud


• Proven skills to migrate applications to the cloud (preferably to Azure)


• The ability and the knowledge to integrate services and tools to all areas to be used like networks and data processing


• Shows leadership, ownership and thinks entrepreneurially


• Agile business and project management understanding and methodological competence


• Abilities to build relationships between the customers and the team members


• Strong customer orientation, needs-oriented and value proposition thinking


• Knowledge of the relevant legislation as they may be required to negotiate contracts.


• Experience as a team lead preferred
