Senior Web Developer

As a Front-end Developer at LzLabs, you will be responsible for the development of an advanced web UI interacting with the LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe®. This state-of-the-art UI is already being used by some of the world’s biggest companies to manage and maintain their business-critical applications.

You will be involved in many stages of our development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation. You will work in a UI team as you develop and test new features. You’ll also work daily with other LzLabs development teams.

You will work in a very stimulating environment with colleagues working across multiple time zones and multiple locations.

You will be involved in many stages of our development lifecycle, from design to customer support. 

 

Responsibilities include:

• Work with customers and development teams to build complex web features.


• Build front-end code leveraging REST services.


• Develop best-in-class user experience elements based on user interviews.


• Turn designs into functional and robust interfaces.


• Build new interfaces for upcoming products and features.


• Collaborate with other development teams on the future of the product.


• Develop an advanced UI to control many aspects of LzLabs Software Defined Mainframe.


• Develop an advanced set of unit and end-to-end tests to ensure the quality of the UI.


• Communicate with marketing for the LzLabs communication standards.

• 3-5 years of experience in front-end development.


• Ability to architect, design, implement and debug Web applications interacting with other systems.


• Ability to develop advanced JavaScript code.


• Experience in technologies such as: React, JavaScript, CSS, Node.js, Jest, Cypress, REST, SQL.


• An understanding of how to debug and test front-end applications.


• Experience with Linux environments.


• CI/CD task management practices using GitLab / Jenkins / Cloudbees.


• Basic knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and web standards.


• Agile development practices using Jira.


• Excellent English communication skills.


• Familiarity working with multiple stakeholders and comfort communicating at all levels.


• A self-starter, you pick things up and run with them.


• A tenacious problem solver, you actively pursue and resolve issues.


• Persuasive, with the ability to engage and influence with thoughtful dialogue.


• Ability to effectively work remotely and from the office.


• A willingness to learn about old technologies and how to modernize them for today’s users.
